Education

TOWMA believes the answer to habit fragmentation and its negative effects on wildlife lies in education.  One of our primary roles is to provide learning materials and opportunities to WMA management, who in turn bring those opportunities to their membership. Two meetings are held each year, and a two day major Symposium is held every other year.

Educational articles are published in the TOWMA newsletter and are made available in the “Resources” section of this web site.

Our educational efforts would not be complete if we did not actively follow and report on regulatory and legislative issues in State government and within Texas Parks Wildlife Department.  Members serve on advisory committees that help inform various governmental agencies and sub committees about the needs of private landowners and wildlife. Items of interest appear in the NOTICES area at the bottom of the Home page of our website at www.towma.org.
